    This package includes:
--- 6 GAME BOARDS (up to 6 players)
--- 2 SETS OF CARDS (CVCe and CCVCe)
--- WORD BANK for each set
    --- DIRECTIONS

This GAME format is similar to the old game of TIC TAC TOE except it requires students to blend sounds to match C and CC beginnings to MAGIC E endings. There are two WORD BANKS for players to check their words.

The MAGIC E can be difficult for some students to master, so I use this game as a multi sensory activity. There's a visual and aural element as students match their cards to their boards. The fun comes from trying to get three in a row and this is what provides the motivation for them to play over and over. You just don't get this level of involvement from worksheets, especially for those students who need it most.

This game builds on my Phase 1 (CVC and CCVC short vowels) and Phase 2 games (Long Vowels) and helps consolidate the foundation skills necessary for success in reading.
