I am a semi-retired primary teacher with a degree and experience in Learning Support.  During my 30 odd years teaching I was a classroom teacher, principal, guidance officer and learning support teacher.  I have had straight grades and multi-age classes in towns and communities all over Queensland.  My passion is differentiation and supporting all learners.

    This package includes:
--- Workbook (59 pages) which follows the sequence of the Australian curriculum with ACARA references
--- Pretest (2 pages) which identifies skill deficits to Year 6 with ANSWERS
--- Clock BINGO game (10 boards) covers o'clock, half past and quarter past to quarter to
--- Clock DONKEY card game - o'clock and half past
--- Clock DONKEY card game - 5 minute increments
This WORKBOOK includes Posters, Worksheets and Task Cards to accommodate all ability levels. There are 48 task cards which increase in difficulty. A student answer sheet allows for more skilled students to work through the task cards at their own rate. Answers for the task cards are provided. See the PREVIEW and the Contents page for the range of activities included.
A Pre-Test is also included to allow for ability groups and to identify those students who need intervention.
It is perfect for RTI as it progresses in small, incremental steps and provides the success that some students need as time is an abstract concept but a critical life skill. Play time games as part of RTI then put them in a Maths Centre and your RTI students can teach the others. You can mix ability groups this way and it helps if the POSTERS are up somewhere for extra scaffolding for your students who need that bit of extra support.
I have included the Clock Bingo game for motivation and playing the game increases exposure to the analogue clock and the fun element eliminates boredom through repetition. The game includes two sets of cards, one with analogue time and the other with words ("a quarter past three"). Just choose the set your class is ready for. You can play this game with a whole class in groups. With ten boards, just share the counters around so everyone is involved. Differentiate by allocating times to various students. Every board has some o'clocks, half pasts and quarters.
I have also included the two Donkey Games as my students enjoy them so much and I find them great for developing skills in a small group. You could use it like I do, as part of RTI, or make it available in a Maths Centre for early finishers. Put the Task Cards there as well, and you have all your ability levels covered.
